Farm business on the east coast of Scotland diversifying into holiday accommodation. The site enjoys spectacular views to the North East over a coastal nature reserve and is in a designated coastal planning zone which places particular restrictions on new buildings. The ‘bothies’ are designed as self-contained units which sleep 4 and maximize the view while being economic and sustainable. To minimize site disruption the structure was fabricated off site using structurally insulated panels. The siberian larch cladding is locally sourced.
